Karla Bailey was elected Peel School Board Trustee, Brampton Wards 7&8 in October 2022 on a platform of advocating, representing, and keeping families connected. All in an effort to ensure every child within the PDSB has an opportunity to get the world class barrier-free education, as is their right.
Karla Bailey is a longtime resident of Brampton. As a graduate of the Peel District School Board herself, she recognized that even though there are serious challenges within the board, there were also opportunities to make the PDSB a place where children receive a world class education. That is why Karla chose to raise her children in Peel.
As well as being a School Board Trustee, Karla utilizes her extensive education to support children, families and the community in her full-time role as the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization within the Region of Peel.
Karla is an active and engaged community member, serving on various committees and boards.
